    Hi,

I am in the middle of trying to get a DVD project finished. It is shot, edited, and ready to be burned, but iDVD 2 won't support the number of motion menus I have. Does anyone know if either iDVD 3 has a higher limit, or if there is no other option but obtaining a program like DVD Studio Pro. Which is apparently like $750 and insanely complex. Has anyone used this program or know anything about motion menus? Any help would be extremely appreciated.

    Hi,

I've used DVD Studio Pro and if you are pretty computer literate you shouldnt have a problem. I just went through the tutorial and straight away i was able to make pretty much everything I wanted. I cant comment on the price but i do know that there is a new version supposedly coming out soon, which is going to be even easier to use.

All that iAPPLE stuff annoys me with its simplicity, I cant stand that apple in the bottom corner of anything authored in iDVD. For me, it would immediately scream amatuer to me, im afraid.

Thanks. That is somewhat encouraging. And that little apple icon in iDVD can be removed in your preferences. It is called the 'watermark'.

Forgive me if you're on a mac, but if you're on a pc take a look at Sonic Foundry DVD Architect 1.0
(www.sonicfoundry.com) I just finished my DVD project and it really turned out great. All motion menus with animated thumbnails, and music on every page. The only thing it can't do yet is alternate audio tracks. It supports 5.1 surround (I didn't do that, but plan to on my next one) and you can burn 24p DVD's if your project is 24p. Sonic Foundry stuff gives you the best bang for your buck.

Is this that unstated British humor I hear about?

    Quite funny.
